The Minister of Economy and Innovation, Mr. Pierre Fitzgibbon, and the Minister of Transport and Member of National Assembly for Granby, Mr. François Bonnardel, visited Public Utility Products INNOVA Inc. on Monday, February 17, 2020, to mark the expansion of the business. The ministers confirmed a government contribution of $ 1.76 million to the project, which will allow the company to double its production area.
The $ 5.5 million expansion project will create 9 jobs. Part of the new space will be used to acquire innovative equipment for setting up a test bench and a laboratory that will serve as a springboard for improving existing products and for developing future products. There will also be a new training room. The XTIRPA Academy will be a world-class training center. The new installations will be operational in May 2020.
